      This is the most mature aerospace application of F46-PI film.
      1. Spaceborne wire wrapping insulation: FHF double-sided coated F46 film wrapping cable is used, and after high-temperature treatment, the F46 coating melts and self fuses to form a closed insulation sheath, without the need for additional adhesive. It is resistant to vacuum exhaust, space atomic oxygen, cosmic rays, and severe temperature fluctuations ranging from -269 ℃ to+250 ℃. It can withstand repeated cold and hot cycles in orbit and prevent ordinary adhesive layer volatilization from contaminating on-board optical components. Widely used for satellite internal power supply cables, signal cables, and attitude control system cables.
      2. Flat cable and flexible harness packaging: used for satellite flexible wiring and deployment mechanism cables, with thin and light film texture, reducing the weight of the entire satellite; Resistant to vibration and impact, suitable for strong mechanical environments during rocket launch phases.
      3. Sealing and protection of connectors: The wire harness connector position is wrapped with F46-PI film for heat sealing, achieving moisture-proof and pollution proof insulation sealing in a vacuum environment.
2、 Multi layer insulation components MLI auxiliary layer, supporting thermal control system
      The multi-layer thermal insulation component (MLI) of spacecraft is composed of alternating layers of reflection and isolation layers, achieving thermal insulation and resisting temperature differences of nearly 500 ℃ in space.
      1. F46 polyimide film serves as an MLI isolation layer, with low gas release and radiation resistance, preventing short circuits between metal reflective layers.
      2. Partial thermal control secondary surface mirror substrate, aluminum/silver plated FEP-PI composite film, used for local passive thermal control of satellite cabin, adjusting solar absorption ratio and infrared emissivity, and assisting cabin temperature balance; Both the Beidou series and Chang'e series probes use similar materials in orbit.
Note: High grade large-area silver plated OSR secondary surface mirrors are mostly pure F46 thin films; PI-F46 is more commonly used as a thermal insulation and local thermal control auxiliary material.
      3、 Flexible solar wings, packaging and protection of solar cell modules
      1. Edge packaging and insulation isolation of flexible solar cell array: FHF double-sided F46 polyimide film heat sealing provides insulation protection for the solar cell circuit, resisting low orbit atomic oxygen erosion and long-term UV irradiation, preventing material aging and degradation, protecting the foldable and unfolded solar wing circuit system, and adapting to repeated deformation conditions during folding and unfolding.
      2. The insulation layer of the solar wing substrate circuit isolates the substrate from the battery circuit to prevent leakage.
4、 Aircraft (military, large aircraft) onboard electrical system
      1. Insulation of aviation high-temperature wires and motor electromagnetic wires: The electromagnetic wires around the engine compartment, onboard high-power motors, and actuating mechanisms are wrapped with FH/FHF film. The engine compartment is locally high-temperature, and the material can withstand 180-220 ℃ for a long time. At the same time, it meets the requirements of aviation DO-160G vibration, flame retardancy, and low smoke, and is suitable for the onboard cable system of domestic large aircraft such as C919.
      2. Insulation and isolation gaskets for flexible circuits inside airborne sensors and fire control radars; Insulation isolation of airborne high-temperature components.
5、 On board flexible circuit board (FPC) and insulation protection for precision electronic devices
      1. Covering film and reinforcement layer of aerospace grade flexible circuit board, F46 coating can be hot pressed and sealed, with low exhaust gas under vacuum, and will not volatilize organic substances to contaminate precision optical loads such as star sensors and cameras.
      2. The attitude control components and star sensor peripheral electronic components are insulated pads that are resistant to radiation and do not become brittle in space environments.
6、 Supporting equipment for deep space exploration and manned spaceflight
      The temperature changes of lunar and Mars probes are extremely severe, accompanied by strong cosmic radiation and atomic oxygen.
      1. The internal cable of the detector is wrapped with insulation, and the electronic equipment in the cabin is insulated with isolation gaskets;
      2. Cable sheaths for partially deployable mechanisms (antennas, extension arms) can be repeatedly bent along with the mechanism to maintain insulation integrity.
