Source:www.cshuaqiang.com      Release date: 2026-07-14
The F46-PI film combines the chemical properties of PI substrate and FEP (perfluoroethylene propylene), with the F46 fluororesin insulating medium on the surface and polyimide on the inner layer to ensure substrate stability. The overall chemical resistance far exceeds that of pure PI film.
1. Acid and alkali resistance and chemical reagents
The surface F46 molecule has a dense structure and hardly reacts with strong acids and bases. Long term contact with hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, and sodium hydroxide solutions will not corrode the film; Ordinary PI film soaked in strong alkaline environment for a long time will gradually hydrolyze, resulting in brittleness and cracking; F46-PI film relies on fluorine layer protection, and the internal PI substrate is isolated, greatly reducing the probability of chemical corrosion. Acetone, xylene, esters, amines, and various organic solvents do not swell or dissolve. Only high-temperature concentrated alkali that acts for a long time above 250 ℃ will slowly corrode the inner PI substrate.
2. Resistant to lubricating oil, hydraulic oil, and coolant
Gear oil, refrigeration oil, lubricating grease, synthetic coolant, and insulation oil in the operating environment of the motor cannot penetrate the thin film; Ordinary PI film soaked in engine oil for a long time will absorb oil, and the insulation will decrease in the later stage; F46-PI has excellent oil resistance and is suitable for winding coils in servo motors, submersible motors, and wind turbines. Its insulation performance deteriorates very little under long-term oil immersion conditions.
3. Resistance to hydrolysis and moisture environment
PI itself is afraid of water vapor infiltration, and water molecules slowly infiltrate the PI molecular chain in high temperature and high humidity environments, causing hydrolysis; The F46 coating has a low water vapor permeability, which can prevent water vapor from entering the substrate. F46-PI is not easily hydrolyzed after long-term use in underground deep wells and damp enclosed motor chambers, making it very suitable for oilfield submersible motors and underwater equipment; Long term storage in an environment with humidity ranging from 85% to 95% results in a slight decrease in the mechanical strength and dielectric parameters of the film.
4. Anti aging and high energy ray resistance
Can tolerate gamma rays and cosmic rays; After irradiation, the performance degradation of F46-PI film is much smaller than that of ordinary PI film; Under vacuum and atomic oxygen conditions in aerospace environments, F46-PI has better resistance to atomic oxygen than ordinary PI films; Suitable for satellite wiring harness insulation.
However, please note that if atomic oxygen continues to wash away for a long time, the surface F-46 will slowly wear down, and the inner PI will still be eroded by atomic oxygen after the coating is worn off.
